This visit I spent more time than during previous visits at the Quinta y Diezyseis ( 5-ta y 16 ) Casa del Habano where Carlos Robaina is PR manager.

While I'd have my morning cigar and café con leche at the Melia Habana Casa, I would have a late lunch or dinner at the 5-ta y 16 restaurant as it is open air and provides very good food and service.

It has a very good in-house roller, Maria, who happens to be the wife of Miguel Berzaga, the longtime director of H.Upmann, so I was able to greet Miguel and family a few times during my visits.

It was always a pleasure to spend time with Carlitos and exchange stories and information and we would love to sip some coffee and rum outside, a welcome respite from the tourist groups that would crowd the Casa just to buy a few Guantanameras during their visits.
